Hello and welcome to the manual for using ChatGPT with an iOS shortcut!
With this shortcut, you can use the power of GPT3 to have natural conversations with your iPhone or iPad. You can ask GPT3 questions, share your thoughts, or just have a casual chat. The possibilities are endless!
Here are a few examples you might ask GPT3 using the iOS shortcut:
What are the latest developments in machine learning?
What are some best practices for cybersecurity?
What is the difference between supervised and unsupervised learning?
What are some common challenges in natural language processing?
What are the most important things to consider when designing a database?
Bonus: If you have children you can finally answer all the whys!
Why does the earth spin at the speed that it does?
Why are leaves green?
Why are you always on your phone? – well, maybe not all questions…

On your iOS device, open the "Shortcuts" app.
Tap the "My Shortcuts" tab.
Tap the shortcut you want to edit.
Tap the "Edit" button in the top right corner of the screen.
Scroll down to the "Add Your API Key Here" action and tap it.
Tap the "Text" field and enter your API key.
Tap "Done" to save your changes.
“After my prompt, all I receive is an empty text file”
Go to the OpenAI website (https://beta.openai.com/).
Create an account or log in if you already have one.
Navigate to the Billing page (https://beta.openai.com/account/billing/payment-methods).
Once you’ve added a payment option, the error is gone.
You can also set up limits to make sure you don’t accidentally overspend.
After setting up your paid plan, you will be able to use the API or product you have chosen according to the terms of your plan.
You can now run the shortcut and it should use your API key to communicate with ChatGPT.
